The White Ferns have booked their place in the final of the T20 cricket tri series in England with a comprehensive eight wicket win over South Africa.

Playing a double header New Zealand enjoyed a comprehensive eight wicket win over South Africa in their opening game and will now play hosts England in the final.

New Zealand restricted South Africa to 148-6 batting first with Hayley Jensen and Amelia Kerr both taking two wickets each.

The White Ferns with Bates (62) and Devine (68 not out) aggressively chased down the target knocking it off with nearly five overs to spare.

The White Ferns though could not maintain the momentum in their second match against England.

Batting first they failed to bat out their 20 over overs - all out for 129 in 18th over.

Sophie Devine top scored with 52 while Suzie Bates, playing her 100th T20 international, was out for duck.

England easily chased down their target for the loss of just three wickets and with almost five overs to spare.

The two sides will meet again in the final on Monday morning in Chelmsford with the hosts heavy favourites.

England have won 12 of their past 13 completed T20s against New Zealand.
