Athletics South Africa says the world 800 metres champion Caster Semenya will not receive the results of her gender verification tests until June.
Semenya underwent the tests after winning gold at last August's world championships and has not run competitively since but announced on Thursday she planned to race this season even though her case has yet to be resolved.
An ASA spokesman Richard Stander says Semenya is a disciplined athlete who is happy to abide by the rules but she's frustrated she can't compete and that's only natural.
But he says the results were only ever going to become available in June.
