The Northern Districts cricket coach Grant Bradburn says Kane Williamson is well equipped technically to handle the Australian fast bowlers if he makes his test debut in Hamilton this weekend.
Bradburn reckons his 19-year-old number three has the best back foot game in New Zealand domestic cricket.
He says Williamson's equally comfortable scoring and defending off both feet and his back foot play gives him more scoring options.
Grant Bradburn says Williamson should probably bat in the middle order to begin with, but once he's established he'll earn the right to bat at three and he's also a useful off-spin bowler.
