The Tauranga hockey umpire, Kelly Hudson, has been appointed to officiate at the Women's World Cup in Argentina later this year.
Only three New Zealand umpires have previously been appointed by the hockey's world governing, the FIH, to officiate at this level.
The tournament beings in Rosario on August 29th.
