The high scoring young Northern Districts batsman Kane Williamson has been added to the New Zealand squad for the second cricket test against Australia, starting on Saturday in Hamilton.
The 19-year-old scored 192 for Northern Districts in their 10 wicket win over Auckland last weekend and is the only change to the squad named for the first test in Wellington, where Australia won by 10 wickets.
Coach Mark Greatbatch, says Williamson's scored a lot of runs in domestic competitons and deserves an opportunity at international level..
Mathew Sinclair, who was called in as cover in Wellington, also returns after scoring a century for Central Districts in Auckland yesterday.
