The New Zealand rugby union says it can't confirm a report the former All Black Carl Hayman has signed a $2 million two year contract with the French club Toulon and won't be back World Cup..
The 30-year-old is widely regarded as the game's best tighthead prop and, if an English newspaper is correct, it'll be a big setback for the All Black coaches.
However, the NZRU says as far as it knows Hayman's on leave this week and is still considering its offer.
Hayman joined the English club Newcastle three years ago after playing 45 tests and now captains the Falcons but he's off contract at the end of the season.
