The country's top ranked doubles player Michael Venus has made it to the grand final of the French Open - he has the chance to be the first New Zealander to win a Grand Slam since 1974.
Venus and his partner Ryan Harrison bet 16th seed Colombian pair Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 4-6 6-3 6-4 in the semi overnight
They'll now take on Donald Young and Santiago Gonzalez, another unseeded and unexpected pair in the final.
By making the final Venus' ranking of 39th will move well inside the top 30.
Venus said he's still in shock at making the final.
"It was another tough match, we've gone three sets in every match so far - when we lost the first set we just said to each other let's just dig deep and enjoy it."
