Clippers fire general manager

6:27 pm on 10 March 2010

The Los Angeles Clippers basketball team has fired their general manager Mike Dunleavy, a month after he relinquished his head coaching role.

The Clippers issued a statement on their website which says the team has not made sufficient progress during Dunleavy's seven-year tenure, and the club wants to win now.

The assistant general manager Neil Olshey will assume Dunleavy's duties.

The Clippers are 12th in the NBA Western conference, and following their 113-87 loss to Orlando they've now lost four games in a row.
