The Australian men's hockey team has made history at the World Cup in New Delhi beating South Africa 12-0.

It's the biggest margin in the history of the tournament, beating Pakistan's 12-3 win over New Zealand in 1982.

Penalty corner specialist Luke Doerner led the scoring with four goals for the title favourites, who've bounced back since their shock loss to England in the opening round.

England remain unbeaten after a 5-2 win over Pakistan, while Spain beat India 5-2.
