The Queensland Reds will have a makeshift backline for tomorrow night's Super 14 match against the Chiefs in Hamilton with their in-form back three all ruled out of the match.
Coach Ewen McKenzie decided to rest winger Digby Ioane who's been battling a knee injury since the start of the season, and fellow Wallaby Peter Hynes and flyer Rod Davies will also miss the match.
Back-up halves Richard Kingi and Tim Walsh are also out, two of five players injured during last weeks game against the Auckland Blues.
The only good luck for the Reds this week was playmaker Quade Coopers escaping without a scratch from a car crash in wet weather near his Brisbane home on Tuesday evening.
