Blackcaps win thriller in second 20/20

New Zealand has beaten Australia in the second international Twenty20 cricket match in Christchurch, but it needed a super over to seperate the two teams.

Brendan McCullum scored the second highest individual score in international Twenty20 with 116 of 56 balls as the BlackCaps made 214 in their 20 overs.

Australia reached the same score in their innings with Michael Clarke making 67 and Cameron White 64.

In the extra over bowled by Tim Southee, Australia made just 6 runs, which New Zealand reached off 4 balls.

The highest score by a batsman is 117 by West Indies captain, Chris Gayle.

Australia won the first match in Wellington on Friday night by 6 wickets.

The two teams now meet in the first of 5 one-dayers in Napier on Wednesday.
