The English golfer Laura Davies has won the New Zealand Open at Pegasus Town north of Christchurch.
Davies, who started the day in second place fired a 4 under par 68 today to win by 2 shots from overnight leader Sarah Kemp of Australia who could manage just 1 under par today.
The Swede Pernilla Lindberg fired the round of the day a 9 under par 63 to finish tied for second with Kemp, along with the Norwegian Marianne Skarpnord.
The best placed New Zealander was 12 year old amateur Lydia Ko who tied for 7th.
