The Austrian skier Elisabeth Goergl has claimed her second Olympic bronze medal to emulate the feat of her mother 46 years ago.
Goergl finished third in the giant slalom to match her performance in the women's downhill - the event her mother Traudl Hecher took bronze in at the 1960 and 1964 Winter Games.
The Austrian says she would have preferred the gold, but says that bronze medal efforts could be in her genes.
Goergl went into the second run ranked first after posting the fastest time yesterday, when bad weather forced the even to be postponed until this morning.
