It's taken Greg Murphy a week longer to get behind the wheel of his Holden in the V8 Supercar championship and the veteran New Zealander is itching to get back on the track in Bahrain this wekend.
Murphy missed the opening round in Abu Dhabi last weekend due to a commitment with the Top Gear Live show in New Zealand and arrived in the Middle East on Tuesday.
The four-time Bathurst winner says he didn't enjoy missing the opening round and he's enjoying just being a racing driver again without the off-track distractions of team administration.
The Tasman Motorsport team in which Murphy held a stake folded at the end of last season.
