The Hurricanes are two from two in rugby's Super 14 after their 47-22 win over the Western Force in Wellington.
They scored seven tries to three with Tamati Ellison setting up three and the other wing David Smith scoring two.
The Force were missing some key players, including David Pocock, Richard Brown, Ryan Cross, Cameron Shepherd and Mark Bartholomeusz.
They still looked promising at times but the Hurricanes took control in the second half and the Force coach John Mitchell says his players gifted the Hurricanes up to five of their tries by missing one-on-one tackles.
Fullback Cory Jane, prop Neemia Tialata, flanker Michael Paterson, centre Ma'a Nonu and Tyson Keats scored the Hurricanes' other tries.
