Netball New Zealand has appointed Jennie Wyllie as the organisation's new chief executive, replacing Hilary Poole who resigned last month.

Wyllie has worked for Netball New Zealand for the past seven years as head of finance and more recently as interim CEO.

Wyllie says the new role is her dream job.

"Netball has been a huge part of my life for such a long time and I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity," she said.

Netball New Zealand chairman John Bongard said Wyllie succeeded because of her unique combination of high level commercial experience and an in-depth understanding of the Netball environment, and sporting landscape.

Wyllie will take up her new role on Monday.
