The England rugby side has beaten Italy 17-12 in an uninspiring Six Nations match in Rome.
Mathew Tait scored the only try six minutes into the second half and Jonny Wilkinson kicked a drop goal to seal victory after Italy had pulled within two points late in the match with Mirco Bergamasco's fourth successful penalty.
But it was a disappointing performance by England, who beat Wales 30-17 in their opener last week, especially for flyhalf Wilkinson, who provided the other points but also missed three attempts at goal.
England and France have 2 wins from two in the Six Nations.
In other matches over the weekend, Wales beat Scotland and France beat Ireland.
