Coaches looking to slow down opposition ball in Super 14

Super 14 rugby coaches are already looking at new ways of slowing down their opposition's ball even though the referees plan to try and clean up the area.

Referees' interpretation has changed giving the ball carrier an advantage by forcing the tackler to release the player and getting to his feet before being allowed to attack the ball.

The Hurricanes coach Colin Cooper agrees with the move and says it should provide a better attacking platform, however defensive coaches are already looking at new ways to slow down the oppositions ball.
