The NRL All Stars coach Wayne Bennett says fans will still witness some wonderful rugby league despite the withdrawal of Indigenous All Stars superstar Greg Inglis on Friday.
New Gold Coast Titans recruit Greg Bird, who on Friday was acquitted of assaulting a women in 2008, and South Sydney's Beau Champion were drafted into Neil Henry's Indigenous side on Friday to replace Dane Laurie and a shattered Inglis.
The Storm stand-out had been desperate to play in next weekend's sell-out on the Gold Coast.
The loss of Inglis and fellow international Hodges (Achilles) has robbed the Indigenous side of a word class centre pairing.
But the sense of occasion will bring out the best in the players with Bennett dismissing suggestions the game will be an attack-fest.
