The Cairns Taipans pulled off a shock 79-76 victory over league-leading Perth in a remarkable comeback in their NBL basketball clash.
The Taipans trailed at every change and fought back from a biggest margin of 15 points with Tall Black Phill Jones hitting a game-high 25 points as they manufactured a famous win.
The win gives Cairns an outside chance of making the play-offs, while Perth still top the standings.
The New Zealand Breakers play Wollongong on the North Shore tonight needing a win to stay in the play-off race.
