The Australian pace bowler Peter Siddle will miss the rest of the domestic summer and the tour of New Zealand after suffering a stress fracture of his lower back.
The injury flared during the one-day international series against Pakistan, and Siddle missed the third game before a brief return in Perth last weekend.
He met with a doctor and team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris today when the full extent of his injury was confirmed.
