The New Zealand cricket captain Dan Vettori says he doesn't have total control of the team and his job is primarily to guide the side on the field.
Vettori has been seen as a one-man band in recent times as the all-rounder, captain, coach and selector, especially after Andy Moles left as coach late last year.
There has been talk that player power runs the side and Vettori says the players do have responsibility for their own performances.
However he says he primarily is captain on the field.... he doesn't run the team on a day to day basis with the manager and coach taking that role.
Vettori and his team take on Bangladesh in a Twenty20 international in Hamilton tonight, the first match with Mark Greatbatch as coach.
