Nadal out for four weeks

Spain's world tennis number two Rafael Nadal will be out of action for around a month because of a minor tear to a tendon in his right knee, his doctor Angel Ruiz Cotorro said after completing a scan on the player in Barcelona.

The injury forced the 23-year-old to retire from his quarter-final against Andy Murray at the Australian Open earlier in the week, relinquishing his reign on the event.

Nadal has pulled out of the Rotterdam tournament due to start on February 8 and says despite the setback, he's feeling well and focusing on his recovery.

Nadal missed almost two months of the season last year with knee problems but says this latest injury is unrelated.
