French rugby team to put Irish football clash behind them

8:44 am on 28 January 2010

The French rugby team insist there'll be no fallout when they host Six Nations titleholders Ireland next month, despite their footballing counterparts' notorious World Cup clash.

France coach Marc Lievremont says the Irish were entitled to be angry about missing out on the Football World Cup because of the infamous Thierry Henry handball.

But he says football doesn't share the same qualities or values as rugby.

France will take on Ireland at the same Stade de France venue on February the 13th.
