The New Zealand Olympic Committee has named its biggest-ever snowboard team for the Vancouver Winter Games next month, with three women and two men to compete.

Wanaka's Juliane Bray, who's 34, competed at Torino four years ago and finished 16th in the half-pipe while 20-year-old Wanaka-based Kendall Brown was 24th in the same event.

The youngest member of the team, 18-year-old Rebecca Sinclair, is also from Wanaka.

The men are Kendal Brown's 22-year-old brother Mitch Brown, who's also based in Wanaka and was 25th in the half-pipe at Torino, and James Hamilton, who's 20 and comes from Albany.

The NZOC is now awaiting confirmation of the final quota spot to enable biathlete Sarah Murphy's entry and that's expected on Friday. In the meantime the team is 15-strong.
