English boxer David Haye will defend his World Boxing Association heavyweight title for the first time against the twice former champion John Ruiz in early April.
Haye defeated towering Russian Nikolai Valuev in Nuremberg in November to gain the title, and will face 38-year-old Ruiz in front of a home crowd in Manchester.
Haye says he's expecting the American to put up a tougher fight than his last opponent, with Ruiz a lot faster and about the same size as the 29-year-old Briton.
Ruiz held the heavyweight title from March 2001 to March 2003 and February 2004 to December 2005.
