China has two players in the quarter-finals of the same grand slam tennis tournament for the first time after Li Na upset the US Open finalist Caroline Wozniacki at the Australian Open.

Li defeated the Danish fourth seed 6-4 6-3 to make the top eight with compatriot Zheng Jie, who plays Russia's Maria Kirilenko in today's quarter-final action.

Despite the women's success, China has little representation on the men's circuit, but Li says she expects this to change in the coming years.

Li Na will face sixth seed Venus Williams tomorrow, while former world number one Justine Henin will hope to continue her comeback when she meets Nadia Petrova of Russia in today's first quarter-final.
