Women's 3rd seed Svetlana Kuznetsova is out of the Australian Open tennis championship after being beaten by fellow Russian Nadia Petrova in the fourth round.
Petrova raced past her doubles partner in the final set to win 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
The loss puts an end to Kuznetsova's bid to add to last year's French Open title and the 2004 US Open crown.
Petrova, the 19th seed, will play the winner of tonight's all Belgian match between Justine Henin and Yanina Wickmayer in the quarter finals.
