In their quarter-final in Rangiora, Australia beat New Zealand by 62 runs.
Australia scored 232 for 8 in their 50 overs, while the New Zealanders lost wickets regularly in their chase and were dismissed for 170 in the 44th over.
Captain Craig Cachopa (car-chopper) top scored with 34.
New Zealand will now play-off for 5th to 8th in the competition.
In today's other quarter-final Sri Lanka beat South Africa by 146 runs.
So in the semi-finals Australia will play Sri Lanka and Pakistan will play the West Indies.
