The Spaniards aren't having a great time of it at the Heineken Open men's tennis tournament in Auckland with the second seed David Ferrer the latest casualty.
In a rain interupted match last night the 17th ranked Ferrer was beaten in straight sets by Frenchman Arnaud Clement.
Third seed Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain was forced to retire hurt yesterday, making 5 Spaniards to be beaten so far.
However another 2 are into quarter-finals, top seed Tommy Robredo and 8th seed Albert Montanes.
Today Montanes plays Michael Lammer of Switzerland and Robredo plays American John Isner.
The New Zealanders Marcus Daniell has made the semi-finals of the doubles with his Romanian partner after beating the third seeds of Robredo and fellow Spaniard Marcel Granollers.
