The Black Caps cricket captain Daniel Vettori's hoping a gruelling travel schedule won't hinder his performances, as he flits between New Zealand and Australia for Twenty-20 matches.
Vettori played for Northern Districts against Otago in Invercragill last night and this afternoon arrives in Sydney to make his debut for Queensland in the Australian domestic Twenty-20 competition.
He'll then return to New Zealand to play for ND at Mount Maunganui on Friday.
Vettori says he hopes he can give Queensland, who've had two losses in three games, a boost to advance to the preliminary finals, which would mean another trip across the Tasman to play on Tuesday.
Vettori's been bowling in varying levels of pain since suffering a shoulder injury in June.
He decided in December to postpone surgery because it'd mean spending up to a year on the sidelines.
