The former world tennis number one Justine Henin has beaten Serbia's Ana Ivanovic 6-3 6-2 to advance to the final of the Brisbane International event, her first tournament since coming out of retirement.

The Belgian needed just over an hour to defeat Ivanovic in the one-sided match.

Playing her fourth match in five days after almost two years out of the game, Henin showed no signs of weariness as she builds up to this month's Australian Open.

The 27-year-old will play either US Open champion Kim Clijsters or Germany's Andrea Petkovic in Saturday's final.
