Top seed Flavia Pennetta will face fellow Italian Francesca Schiavone in today's semi final at the ASB Classic womens tennis tournament in Auckland.
In last night's quarter final Schiavone beat Alize Cornet of France in straight sets, 6-2 6-3.
Today's match between the two world top twenty players will follow the first semi between the third seed Belgian Yanina Wickmayer and Israel's Shahar Peer.
