The Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets have secured playoff berths on the final day of the regular NFL season but the Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers have been eliminated.
The Ravens have used a 21-13 win over the Oakland Raiders to grab one of two AFC wild card spots and end the slim post-season hopes of the Steelers, who had earlier beaten the Miami Dolphins 30-24.
The Jets settled their postseason spot with a 37-0 victory over the playoff-bound Cincinnati Bengals in the final game of the regular season.
The victory set up a postseason rematch with the Bengals in Cincinnati this weekend while Baltimore will play at New England in the other AFC wildcard game on Monday.
In the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys have galloped to a 24-0 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles to win the East Division title and set up a playoff rematch between the two teams in Texas this weekend.
The other NFC playoff game will have the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Green Bay Packers in another rematch on Monday.
