The men's and woman's pairs titles at the National bowls championships have been decided in blustery conditions at the Hutt Bowling Club in Wellington.
Double world champion and now the record title holder for New Zealand National Championships Gary Lawson took out the men's pairs title with partner Danny Delany.
Lawson and Delany fought their way back against former New Zealand representative Sean O'Neill and team mate Lance Pascoe from a 10-2 deficit to claim a 13-12 victory and give Lawson his 11th official National title and Delany his third.
In the women's pairs, the Auckland team of Reen Stratford and Bev Crowe were victorious in picking up the Womens Pairs title after defeating the Omanu combination of Bev White and Josephine Connolly 17-14.
