The Tactix netball coach Sue Hawkins has been issued a reprimand after criticising the match officials during her side's loss to the NSW Swifts in their trans-Tasman championship clash on Sunday.

Hawkins was cited after comments made on air during the third quarter of the round 12 match in Sydney, which was won 68-49 by the Swifts.

Hawkins was interviewed during the quarter and was critical of the umpires' consistency in handing out penalties.

The Tactix were on the wrong end of a lop-sided penalty count, conceding 73 to the Swifts' 52, with goal keep Zoe Walker called 20 times.

Hawkins pleaded guilty to breaching the ANZ Championship's code of conduct.

Her comments were reviewed by an independent Disciplinary Officer, who was of the view that Hawkins had violated the code of conduct.

Hawkins' unreserved apology and no applicable prior record was taken into account when she was issued with the reprimand.

The Tactix slumped to their 11th loss this season in the match and have yet to post a win with two games remaining.
