The Central Coast Mariners goalkeeper Liam Reddy has been suspended for two matches for an incident during their 3-2 loss to the Wellington Phoenix last Friday.

Reddy was cited for elbowing the Phoenix star Louis Fenton in the chin after Wellington scored their first goal in the 64th minute.

The goal put the Phoenix back in the contest at 2-1 down, and Reddy struck Fenton as he tried to retrieve the ball from the keeper's possession.

Reddy's season is over as Central Coast are out of the finals race and finish their season away against Melbourne Victory on Sunday.
