The result gives England the series victory three games to two to go with their 2-1 Series victory in the Twenty20 Internationals.

The White Ferns were sent in for the series finale after their captain Suzie Bates lost a remarkable seventh toss in eight games.

Katie Perkins top-scored for New Zealand with 70 runs in her teams total of 230 which England chased down in the 45th over.

Sarah Taylor continued her strong form for England, falling just seven runs short of what would have been a stylish century when she was run.

However, only the first three matches of the one-day series could accrue ICC championship points, which New Zealand secured the lion's share of having gotten out to a 2-1 lead.

Bates says the points are more important than winning the series as they contribute to the White Ferns' world ranking.
