No other New Zealand batsmen scored more than 50 runs.

In reply Afghanistan never looked like threatening the victory target, with the hosts all out for 99 in the 39th over.

Seamer Kyle Mills was the pick of the New Zealand 'A' bowlers, taking three wickets for just 17 runs off just under eight overs.

Fellow pacemen Mitchell McClenaghan and Doug Bracewell both picked up two wickets each.

New Zealand 'A' won their opening game against the United Arab Emirates and continue their tour of the UAE with a 50-over match against Ireland in Dubai on Saturday night.
