The return of first five Dan Carter to the starting lineup and a debut for Blues hooker James Parsons are among several notable changes to the All Blacks side for this weekend's test against Scotland in Edinburgh.

All up coach Steve Hansen has made 13 changes from the starting lineup which beat England last weekend.

Captain Richie McCaw and Ben Smith are the only two in the starting fifteen that ran on against England.

But McCaw will start at blindside flanker, with Sam Cane at openside and Victor Vito at number eight.

Carter makes his first starting lineup in a year, while Canterbury's Dominic Bird will make his first test start at lock alongside Jeremy Thrush.
