The trio had already been stood down from Samoa's opening Four Nations clash against England in Brisbane on Saturday.

General manager of the NRL's integrity unit Nick Weeks says the sanctions were another sign the game's governing body would not tolerate player misbehaviour.

"In determining the level of fines, the NRL had taken into account the salaries of the players involved. In other words, these are very substantial penalties for the players involved."

"And we will continue to take a tough stance against players who damage the reputation of our game through these kinds of incidents."

Moga was one of eight men who were arrested following a fracas outside the Hot Gossip nightclub early on Sunday morning, after an official Samoan team function.

Maitua and Sue were also present when the fight erupted.
