The Kansas City Royals have thrashed the San Francisco Giants 7-2 to level baseball's World Series at a game apiece.
The Royals bounced back from Wednesday's 7-1 home humiliation in the opening game, second baseman Omar Infante hitting a two-run home run as the home side smashed five runs in the sixth innings for the 7-2 lead.
Game three shifts to San Francisco on Saturday.
The Giants are seeking their third championship in five seasons after having snapped a 56-year drought in 2010 while the Royals are in the playoffs for the first time since winning their only World Series in 1985.
