Canterbury beat Auckland in final of national under-19 cricket tournament

Canterbury have won the national under-19 cricket title beating Auckland by six wickets in the final, in Auckland.

It's the fifth title win for Canterbury in the tournament's 14-year history .

Auckland made 194 with Cantebury bowler Theo Van Woerkom taking 6-26, while Brad Chemaly top scored with 73.

Canterbury reached their target in the 43rd over and losing just four wickets in the process with Tom Latham, the son of former Black Caps Rod Latham, continuing his good form at the tournament making 77.

Central Districts beat Otago in the play off for third.
