The Wellington Phoenix have been defeated 2-1 by the Perth Glory in their opening game of the 2014-15 A-League season in the Capital.
Perth scored first in the 32nd minute after Andy Keogh headed a ball past Phoenix keeper Glenn Moss.
The Phoenix equalised in the 73rd minute after new recruits Roly Bonevacia and Nathan Burnes combined to set up a simple tap in for Michael McGlinchey.
The winner came in the 86th minute when Phoenix defender Ben Sigmund fumbled a ball at the back allowing the Glory substitute Jamie MacLaren to run through and fire home the match-winner into the top left corner.
