Representing Asia-Pacific, Robertson, the Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, finished well behind the winner Isiah Kiplangat Koech of Kenya.

The race provided Robertson his best ever pay day, pocketing $US15,000 for his efforts to end a very good season for the African based Hamilton athlete.

Tom Walsh was 4th in the shot-put... Nick Willis 6th in the 15 hundred metres.... Louise Jones was 8th in the 400... Angela Smit 7th in the 800 and Michael Cochrane 8th in the 400 hurdles.

After the first day, Europe tops the standings from the Americas, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

World and Olympic shot put champion Vale Adams competes on the second day along with Sarah Cowley in the 100m hurdles and high jump and Nick Willis in the 3000m.
