All Whites striker Chris Wood won't be joining Wolverhampton Wanderers from his Premier League football club Leicester City - but five other second-division Championship sides are believed to be circling for his signature.

Wood couldn't agree personal terms with Wolves, however it appears the big forward will still be leaving Leicester, with the Championship clubs Norwich, Fulham and Derby reportedly joined by Wigan Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday in the race to sign the 22-year-old former Waikato player.

Wood's fallen further down the pecking order at the Foxes once they signed another striker, Leonardo Ulloa, for a club-record fee of $NZ16 million.

The Argentinian joins first-choice marksmen David Nugent and Jamie Vardy at the promoted club, while Leicester also have three more strikers on the books as well as Wood, in Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Jeff Schlupp and Tom Hopper.
