King stays number four

The New Zealand squash player Joelle King has retained her position as world number four in the latest rankings.

King is on her way home from the Commonwealth Games with a bronze medal from the singles competition.

Malaysia's Nicol David remains number one, bringing up an astonishing 100 months at the top of the standings.

Megan Craig is the next best New Zealander in the rankings, slipping one place to 42 on the August list, while Kylie Lindsay has held fast at number 51 and Amanda Landers-Murphy is up one to 58.

Meanwhile, some consolation for Martin Knight after missing out on a mixed doubles medal with King in Glasgow, as he climbs one place on the PSA men's rankings to be New Zealand's highest ranked player at 41 in the world.
