The Wellington paddler Kurtis Imrie has qualified for the A final of the K1 1000 at the Junior and Under-23 Canoe Sprint World Championship in Hungary.
Imrie finished third in his semi-final of the junior event to sneak into the final as the last qualifier.
Zac Quickenden and Jarrod Fitzgerald will race in the B final of the Under-23 K2 1000 after finishing fourth in their semi-final.
The New Zealand women's under-23 K500 crew were eliminated in the semi-finals.
The junior men's K4 1000 have their heats overnight.
