The draw has been made for the squash competition at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, with New Zealand's main hope Joelle King playing a qualifier first up.

The third seed will meet either a player from Jersey or Kenya.

Englishman Nick Matthew and Nicol David of Malaysia are the defending singles champions.

David has been world number one since 2006 and she is celebrating a record-equalling fifth successive appearance in the Games since 1998.

King is seeded to meet David in the semi-finals.

Campbell Grayson is seeded 12th and Martin Knight 13th in the men's draw with the pair seeded fifth in the doubles.

King and Amanda Landers-Murphy are seeded sixth in the women's doubles and King and Knight are second seeds in the mixed doubles.
