Queensland avoided a State of Origin league whitewash with a resounding 32-8 win over New South Wales in game three before a crowd of 50,000 in Brisbane.
But New South Wales skipper Paul Gallen was still all smiles as he was presented with the Wally Lewis medal for player of the series, having led his side to their first series win since 2005.
The Blues started the series as the longest shots in Origin history.
